This newish place is in the Midway FoodCourt, Portlaoise and is nearly successful in its attempt to do something a bit different. I had to drive up to Dublin recently (having become over-used to the train) and stopped at Midway on the N7/N8 interchange...

Mario's at derg court in Ballina. Traditional italian chips , sold by an american and served by polish people. I am not complaining about foreign peoples in Ireland, it is just a funny fact.

Mayfair, Mitchell Street, Clonmel. The only place in town to truly experience the reason why they say chips are bad for you. A great taste of greasy chips soaked in salt & vinegar combined with the flavour of the brown paper bag.
